Privacy Policy

1. Our basic privacy approach

Our games are designed to be playable without creating a Nioret Studios account. We do not currently operate a custom account server, advertising network, or custom analytics backend for the games covered by this policy.

Some Google Play builds use Google Play Games Services (“Play Games Services”) for optional gaming features such as authentication and leaderboards. When those features are used, information is transmitted to and processed by Google to provide the requested Play Games Services functionality.

2. Information stored locally on your device

Depending on the game, local application data may include settings and gameplay information such as:

• control and audio settings;
• tutorial or onboarding state;
• local personal-best scores or times;
• gameplay statistics and progression state;
• selected upgrades or loadouts; and
• temporary state used to retry a legitimate leaderboard submission if the network or Play Games Services is unavailable.

This local data is stored on the device and is not sent to Nioret-operated servers. You can generally remove local game data by clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling the game, subject to the behavior of your operating system and platform backup features.

3. Google Play Games Services

On supported Google Play builds, Play Games Services may process information associated with an existing Google Play Games profile. Google states that its Play Games Services SDK can automatically collect gamer identity information and SDK analytics/diagnostics, and can process game-service data such as scores when a game uses those features.

Information that may be processed through Play Games Services

• Gamer identity, such as Play Games gamertag/display name and avatar;
• Player/User identifier used by Play Games Services;
• Gameplay information used for enabled Play Games features, such as leaderboard scores or times;
• App interaction / service analytics used by Google to operate and improve the Play Games Services SDK; and
• Diagnostics used by Google to improve stability and troubleshoot the SDK.

Google states that collected Play Games Services data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS.

REBOUND ZERO

REBOUND ZERO can be played without signing into Play Games Services. If you choose to use its leaderboard features, the game can submit a legitimate gameplay high score to the Google Play Games leaderboard and retrieve leaderboard information associated with your Play Games profile.

RIFT//RUNNER

RIFT//RUNNER is designed to be playable without a Nioret account. On builds where Google Play Games leaderboard features are enabled, the game may submit legitimate race or Time Trial results to the applicable Google Play Games leaderboard and retrieve leaderboard information associated with your Play Games profile. If a particular RIFT//RUNNER build does not enable Play Games Services, those Play Games data flows do not occur in that build.

4. Why this information is used

• providing core game functionality and saving local preferences;
• displaying and synchronizing optional leaderboard results;
• authenticating an existing Play Games profile when you choose to use Play Games features;
• maintaining service stability and diagnosing technical issues through platform/SDK diagnostics; and
• improving the reliability of the platform services used by the game.

5. What we do not currently collect for these games

The covered games do not currently use Nioret-operated systems to collect precise or approximate location, contacts, messages, health data, financial information, photos/videos, audio recordings, browsing history, or advertising profiles.

The covered games do not currently include advertising SDKs, Firebase Analytics, or a custom Nioret Studios user-account backend. If that changes in a future release, this policy and the relevant store disclosures will be updated before the change is released.

6. Sharing and third-party services

We do not sell personal information. We do not currently share game data with advertising networks.

When you use Google Play Games features, relevant information is transmitted to Google as the platform/service provider for authentication, leaderboards, analytics, and diagnostics. Google’s handling of that information is governed by Google’s own terms and privacy policies. You can review Google’s privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

7. Data retention and deletion

Local Nioret Studios game data

Local game data remains on your device until it is overwritten by normal game use, cleared through device/app settings, removed by uninstalling the game, or otherwise managed by your operating system/platform.

Google Play Games data

Nioret Studios does not operate the Google Play Games account database or leaderboard backend. Google states that users can manage or delete Play Games data through their Play Games profile or Google Account/My Account controls. Google’s own retention and deletion rules apply to information maintained by Google.

No Nioret game account to delete

REBOUND ZERO and RIFT//RUNNER do not currently let users create a Nioret Studios game account. Therefore there is no separate Nioret game account to delete. If we introduce Nioret-managed accounts in a future title or update, we will provide the required account and associated-data deletion mechanisms and update this policy before release.

8. Children

The covered games are not directed to children under 13. Our intended Google Play audience for these titles is users age 13 and older. We do not knowingly operate a Nioret account system that collects personal information from children through these games.

9. Security

We use platform-standard security practices appropriate to the games’ current architecture. Local data remains on the device unless a platform feature requires transmission. Google states that Play Games Services encrypts the end-user data described above in transit using HTTPS.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when we add games, platform integrations, online features, analytics, advertising, account systems, or other changes that affect information handling. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
